Views of the wooded hillsides of the Maresme with the sea in the background. A gently sloping topography and an impressive pine forest with century-old trees. We wanted the project to adapt to the site and take advantage of all these conditions.
The special microclimate of the Maresme and its magical atmosphere are largely determined by the presence of numerous pine forests, which anchor the sandy soil with their roots, protect it from strong winds and summer heat with their crowns, and shelter many species along the way.
The house is divided into volumes oriented to the best views and displaced to preserve every tree on the plot — and to interact with them. The pines become one of the focal points of each room. The interior layout has been optimised to remove unnecessary circulation, so each family member has their own personal space while still encouraging interaction.
Double-height social spaces are combined with more intimate areas for rest and reflection.
