The house sits just meters from the coast, on a plot defined by pine trees with wide canopies and beach sand for terrain. A beach house conceived for the whole family.
The brief asked us to exhaust the maximum buildability of the plot. The house responds by standing vertically, without recesses, balconies or projecting verandas. To return it to a human scale, the project is divided into several blocks arranged over a lighter horizontal base, and the access area opens up with transparency.
The basement extends outward into a generous terrace that prolongs the first floor rooms toward the garden.
Wood and vitrified brick, bush-hammered concrete panels and glass — combined with solar protection systems — give the building its character. Different façade types respond to orientation and use.
Beyond its materials, the house is a technically complex artefact: air renewal systems, water reuse, and an air-water heating system. All integrated into the surroundings while responding to the client's requirements.
